Facing Project Delays and Uncertainty at Startup Jobs

Monday planning call mein jis project ko main months se support kar raha hoon, usko next quarter tak push kar diya. Manager ne bas itna bola ki next budget discussion ke baad team structure review hoga. Ek coworker ne poocha current work pause karein kya, uska bhi clear answer nahi mila. Regular operations abhi chal rahi hai, salary bhi aa rahi hai, but startup mein priorities waise hi baar-baar change ho rahi hain. Vague update dene wale log normal behave kar lete hain, baaki sabko us uncertainty ke around plan karna padta hai. Main resume update karke quietly apply karne ka soch raha hoon, bina panic mein resign kiye.

This kind of vague continuation is stressful even when the work has not officially ended. At my coaching centre, I sometimes get paid work for doubt-solving and invigilation, but they have not said whether it will continue after the next batch. They even changed the topic when I asked about payment for extra doubt hours. So yes, quietly updating the resume and applying while keeping the current income seems much more sensible than waiting for a clear answer that may never come.
