Feeling Overlooked at Work Despite Extra Responsibilities

During a break, a coworker casually mentioned their hourly rate, and it is higher than mine even though we do some of the same duties. I also handle training, closing, and the difficult shifts, so it was hard not to feel overlooked. I’ve stayed in hospitality because the income is predictable, and I don’t want to create uncertainty for myself by reacting badly. Maybe I’ve accepted too much without asking. I’ve written down the extra responsibilities now and may ask the manager for a proper review. I’m not asking to be treated specially. I just want the work to be visible.
